IDEE - Initiatives in Dance through European Exchange
May 2005 – May 2008
The IDEE project started in May 2005 on the initiative of seven european dancehouses. The founder of this triannual project is the Tanzquartier Wien, which also will be the leading organiser for the following three years.
IDEE provides artists with the possibility of developing their creative output on a pan-European level and encourage the development of new forms of exchange for dance/performance art.

· to develop new forms of exchange for dance/performance
· Special adaptation, contextualisation and mediation of the artistic practice
· to involve artists in advanced presentation and research modules
· to support young upcoming artists
· to enhance cooperation with dance houses in the start up phase; particular attention is paid to developments in south-east Europe
· to exchange knowledge and evolve the structure and definition of the dancehouse profile
